Faro International Airport (FAO) Car Rental

Rental conditions apply to all additional drivers. An additional driver surcharge at a rate of 4.06 Eur per day maximum 40.60 Eur per rental excluding vat will apply to each additional driver.

Return vehicle to the National Car Rental returns parking garage. Lock the vehicle and place keys in the key box located by the rental counter.

PORTUGAL MAINLAND AND MADEIRA ISLAND - Minimum rental age is 18 years for vehicle groups Mini MCMR, Economy EDMR and Compact CDMR.
 
A young drivers fee for drivers aged 18 to 20 years is applicable only on vehicle groups Mini MCMR, Economy EDMR and Compact CDMR.

Minimum rental age is 21 for vehicle groups Compact Automatic CDAR, Compact Wagon CWMR, Intermediate IDMR, Intermediate Wagon IWMR and Convertible FTMR.

Minimum rental age is 21 for vehicle groups Fullsize FDMR, Fullsize Wagon FWMR, Fullsize Van FVMR and Premium PLMR, PMMR.

Maximum rental age is 80.

CDW Collision Damage Waiver limits the renters financial responsibility for loss and damage to the rental vehicle. If Guerin-National rental agreement terms and conditions were not violated, the renter will only be responsible for the applicable excess. CDW is free of charge.

Portugal Mainland one way rentals - domestic one ways
are allowed between all locations in Portugal Mainland.

Drop charge is EUR 65.04 excl VAT, 80 EUR incl VAT, for all car groups

International one ways are not permitted.

Madeira Island one way rentals - domestic one ways
are allowed within Madeira free of charge.
One ways to and from Portugal Mainland are not permitted.
International one ways are not permitted.

Portugal mainland - Cross Border Policy - rentals in Portugal are forbidden to go into the following countries - Algeria, Albania, Balearic Islands, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cyprus, Belarus, Iran, Slovak Republic, Iraq, Israel, Canary Islands, Montenegro, Moldova, Morocco, Macedonia, Russia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine. Vehicles cannot travel by ferry to other islands Madeira and Azores as the insurance does not cover this. Cross border fee green card this product allows the Guerin-National rental vehicle to travel outside of Portugal in accordance to the cross border conditions specified in the green card. The rental vehicle should always be returned to the location of pickup in Portugal. The cost of this product is EUR 36.90 per rental. If renter drives the rental vehicle cross border without prior authorization and without payment of this supplement they will be penalized EUR 3.00 per km effective from the beginning of the rental and will be responsible for any damage to the rental vehicle. Madeira Island - cross border policy - vehicles can only be driven within the same island.

IMPORTANT- For all reservations made for rental vehicles under groups K - INTERMEDIATE WAGON ESTATE –IWMR-, L FULL SIZE WAGON ESTATE –FWMR-, G FULL SIZE CAR –FDMR- and H PREMIUM LIMOUSINES –PLMR- the listed requirements below will be mandatory during the time of rental pickup at the branch location.
1 - Two valid credit cards.
2 - Return ticket to the country of origin.
DEPOSITS- All customers are required to place a deposit taken in the form of a credit card imprint. Deposit is based on the Insurance Excess amount and a full tank of fuel except when a FULL CREDIT voucher is presented.
MADEIRA ISLAND - Accepted methods of payment - All major credit cards are accepted as well as vouchers.
